Cross-institutional symposium advancing gender equity in engineering through leadership, collaboration and shared action.
We are proud to invite you to Engineering the Future: Aligning Action; Accelerating Equity — a cross-institutional symposium focused on advancing gender equity and shaping a more inclusive future for engineering.
Co-developed by UNSW, the University of Sydney, the University of Newcastle, the University of Wollongong, Macquarie University, University of Technology Sydney and Western Sydney University, this full-day event will bring together leaders, educators, industry professionals, students, and advocates to explore how we can collectively create a stronger and more diverse engineering sector and society.
At a time of significant change across the sector, the symposium will create space for ambitious thinking, constructive dialogue, and practical collaboration. Through keynote speakers, panel discussions, thought-provoking talks and interactive World Café sessions, participants will explore how universities can partner with communities to co-design priorities, remove structural barriers, and drive equitable outcomes in engineering through aligned leadership and shared action.
Your voice is important to the discussion, and we welcome everyone interested in the future of engineering and the role we each play in shaping a profession where innovation and opportunity can thrive.
Continuing Professional Development: By completing the full-day program, you will receive 7.5 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), certified by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of New South Wales and in partnership with Engineers Australia.
