Dr Adriana da Mata

Dr. Adriana da Mata is a Professor of Computing at the Federal Institute of Pará (IFPA), with a background in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Her expertise lies in mathematical modeling and data science, with a strong focus on applying computational methods to real-world challenges in education and engineering.
She is actively involved in teaching, and extension initiatives that integrate technology, innovation, and social impact. Her work includes professional empowerment programs for women, digital skills development, and the application of generative AI in education and career advancement. She is also a member of the Labor Market Observatory (Observatório do Mundo do Trabalho – OMT), contributing to evidence-based strategies that strengthen the alignment between education, workforce development, and regional innovation systems.
Adriana joined WREN at the end of 2025 as a member of the Brazil Subcommittee.
