Dr Ashley Ansari 

Dr Ashley Ansari is a Lecturer in the School of Civil, Mining and Environmental Engineering and was recently awarded a Prioritising Emerging Research Leaders (PERL) Fellowship. She began her career as an Environmental Engineer at Shoalhaven Water in 2012. After receiving her B.Eng, Dr Ansari completed her PhD in wastewater treatment engineering in 2017 at the University of Wollongong (UOW). In 2017, she worked as a Research Associate for an ARC Linkage project with Sydney Water and in 2018 was appointed to her current role as a Lecturer and researcher in the Strategic Water Infrastructure Lab (SWIL) at UOW. Her research interests include the application of membrane technology in wastewater treatment and the remediation of emerging contaminants from wastewater.
