Parisasadat Shojaei is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Wollongong (UOW), specializing in privacy-enhancing guidelines for designing mHealth applications. Her research interests include Privacy and Security, Data Science, Health Informatics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Optimization Algorithms.
With extensive experience in both academia and industry, Parisa has served as a researcher, lecturer, and mentor, guiding students and professionals in various fields of computing. She has contributed to multiple research initiatives, including security and privacy of technologies in health information systems, empirical analysis of privacy concerns in DEI data, anonymity in the age of AI, and cloud task scheduling. In addition, she has applied her expertise to real-world projects, working as a software developer, data analyst, and information security specialist.
She joined WREN in 2024 as part of the Australia Subcommittee, considering it a valuable platform for connecting with like-minded individuals in STEM, contributing to the community, and fostering future collaborative research initiatives. She aims to foster global collaboration in STEM, support emerging researchers, and champion diversity in technology and engineering. Parisa is passionate about educating future generations, especially females, in STEM fields, and is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for aspiring scientists and engineers.
