Xiangnan Xu

Xiangnan Xu is a researcher at Data Science hub of Charles Perkins Centre of University of Sydney. He is working at the intersection of biostatistics, machine learning, and biomedical data science. His research focuses on high-dimensional omics data, including microbiome, metabolomics, and mass spectrometry imaging, with an emphasis on integrating statistical methods and deep learning to understand complex biological systems.

He received his Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Sydney, where he developed novel statistical frameworks for nutrigenomics data analysis. In addition to his research, he has extensive teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate levels and currently lectures courses in statistical and machine learning methods.
