1.1 If you wish to become a member of the WREN, you must register via the sign up form available at https://thewren.global/join-form/
1.2 Membership is open to academics and higher degree students, and members of the public. Membership will be subject to the approval of the WREN.
1.3 You acknowledge that upon submitting the sign up form, the details you provide within the form will be made available to all other members via the members’ section of the WREN website.
1.4 There is no fee associated with becoming a member of WREN.
1.5 Membership are ongoing, with no set term. If you wish amend or cancel your membership, please contact info@thewren.global.
1.6 Memberships may be cancelled at any time at the discretion of the WREN website management team.
1.7 You may grant WREN with access to your ORCID ID, in order for WREN to populate your WREN membership profile. You acknowledge that your ORCID ID and associated profile could include information such as, but not limited to, your employment history, education, and publications. You consent to WREN using this information as part of your WREN membership profile. If you do not have an ORCID ID, or do not wish to grant WREN with access to your ORCID ID, this will affect the content of your WREN membership profile. 1.8 Any content (with the exception comments on content on the Collaboration Board) that is proposed to be published on the WREN website must be submitted via WREN’s website management team, who will undertake an approval process prior to publishing information on the WREN website. You acknowledge that all content published on the WREN website is at the discretion of the WREN website management team.
1.9 Any comments published in response to any content on the Collaboration Board will not be subject to pre-approval by the WREN website management team. If you believe any comments published are inappropriate for the Collaboration Board or breaches these terms and conditions, please immediately report this to the WREN website management team at info@thewren.global.
1.10 You are responsible for all content you publish on the WREN website. You confirm you own or have the right to use any copyright material(s) included in the content you publish, and that you are not infringing any person’s rights by publishing the content on the WREN website. You must have all appropriate permissions of anyone appearing in (either visually or audibly) in your content to publish the content to the WREN website.
1.11 You give UOW a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use the content you publish on the WREN website in any way that we wish, and in any media worldwide.
1.12 You acknowledge that you must keep your own copies of any content published or proposed to be published on the WREN website, and that the UOW is not responsible for keeping any back-ups or similar of your content.
1.13 WREN is committed to promoting and fostering diversity and inclusion and ensuring everyone in the WREN network can connect and collaborate in a safe space, free of fear, bullying and harassment. All content published should follow the rules set out within UOW’s Social Media House Rules, available at: https://www.uow.edu.au/about/social-media/. You understand that WREN have the ultimate discretion to edit, remove or reject any content proposed to be or currently published on the WREN website.
1.14 UOW is committed to ensuring the privacy of each individual’s personal information as required under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW), and any other relevant privacy legislation. 1.16 You acknowledge that any breach of these terms and conditions may result in the cancellation of your WREN membership.
